Winemaker - Sun Valley Winery, Sudak, The Crimea, Ukraine.
Not many winemakers get the chance to blaze a new trail, but here is your chance to put your knowledge and experience into action in a country where grape growing and wine making is a 1000 year plus tradition.
The vineyard and winery is nearby the Black Sea in an area known for its mild and sunny climate and is located in a unique microzone around 25 km from Sudak town, Crimea, Ukraine - you can Google the location.The vineyard area is 360 hectares and is planted with local grape varieties such as the Dgevat-Kara, Ekim-Kara, Sary-Pandas,Kok-Pandas, Kefessiya, Kapelsiy white, the Crona, Solnechnodolinskiy and well proven clones of the recognized European varieties - Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc. Recent years have seen major developments to both the vineyard and the winery, including the purchase of new equipment and planting of new grapes.
The right person for this role will have a sense of adventure and at least 5 years of winemaking experience. It would be of great benefit if you can speak Russian as English is not common in this area. In return a good salary will be offered.
