Horticultural engineer
The Danish agricultural company, GreenPeas A/S is looking for a horticultural/agricultural engineer to take care of the production of fresh hand-picked peas in Portugal.
The horticultural/agricultural engineer will be responsible for the subsidiary company and the production in Portugal in coordination with the main company in Denmark and the productions in other European countries.
The horticultural/agricultural engineer will be responsible for
• Planning of production and cultivation processes
• Contracting with farmers
• Management of cultivation processes
• Management of harvesting processes
• Management of post-harvest handling and packing processes
• Research and development
Requirements:
• You are English and Portuguese speaking
• You are open-minded and with a strong mentality
• You are aiming for progress and results
• Experience in production and cultivation
• Experience in driving tractors or the ability to learn
• Spraying certificate represents an advantage
• Driving license valid
• Special knowledge in pea production is not needed – but you must have the needed theoretical and practical background - and to be an easy learner.
You will have the needed training and support until you are able to handle fully on your own. The training will partly take place in Denmark and Portugal.
The workplaces are located in different European countries and in consideration of the development of the company. The main workplaces are located in Portugal and Denmark
It´s a challenging job with big potentials and with great possibilities to develop your professional and personal skills.
Gros salary between 1500 – 3000 euros per month depending on your competences in relation to the job.
