Environmental Engineer: Job Details
Our client is Multi-national Environmental and Sustainability Consultancy they required Environmental Engineer to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of environmental and sustainability projects relating to the design and construction of new buildings. Working with developers and the wider team, the candidate will help developers demonstrate how they have met current sustainability polices through the production of Sustainability Statements and/or undertaking Sustainability Appraisals and LEED Assessments.  A wide knowledge of environmental issues and an appreciation of how these elements integrate within the built environment are required to deliver innovative and commercially focussed solutions, whilst maximising the sustainable credentials of projects.  The aim of the role of candidate is to provide the necessary expertise in this area for existing clients, as well as market and develop this specialist area, alongside wider Environmental consultancy.
 
Qualified Candidates should have:
 

    * Degree educated, with a broad spectrum of environmental knowledge and a proven track record in Environmental Consultancy.
    * Technical expertise, or experience, in specialist areas such as Sustainability Assessment and Environmental Impact Assessment is an advantage.
    * Ability to work as part a large project team, and the willingness to undertake works in new technical areas is essential.
    * Ideally the person will have a good knowledge of LEED, BREEAM or Greenstar, and would preferably be a LEED Accredited Professional.
    * Proven skills in report writing and project management are essential, as is the ability to arrange and chair meeting with local authorities, clients and the design team.
