Winemaker - Direct Hire, Napa     $70-80,000

 Ultra premium Napa Valley winery producing 8,000 cases annually has an unusual immediate opportunity for an experienced hands-on winemaker.

Responsibilities include carrying out established winemaking objectives for 7 established varietals. This is a principal winemaker position with overall responsibility for production and supervision of experienced cellar workers.

We are seeking someone who adheres to our traditions and thus, enhances both the reputation of the winemaker and the winery.

Viticulture experience is a plus.

Education & Experience:
• BS in Winemaking or 3+ years related experience or a combination of education and experience.
• Computer literate
• Strong leadership and management background
• Strong analytical and budgeting skills
• Quick learner with demonstrated ability to complete projects with limited supervision
• Complete technical knowledge of all winemaking practices.
• Effectively communicate with large and small groups and excellent written communication skills.
• Experience in vineyard operations.

Requirements:

    * Advanced Degree in winemaking
    * Good industry experience
    * Knowledge of BATF regulations
    * Vineyard experience
    * Spanish fluency helpful
