Description
Job Summary:The safe and effective use of veterinary medicine is the main task to be solved by the drug regulatory officer. This has to be accomplished by improving the control system for the quality of the medicinal products of local manufacturers and improving legislation concerning the manufacturing and distribution of veterinary medicinal products in Abu Dhabi. It is also necessary to improve post-marketing efforts on Adverse Drug Reactions monitoring for veterinary medicinal products.Responsibilties:1. Ensure the appropriate licensing, marketing and legal compliance of veterinary medicinal products.2. Communication and coordination with quality control labs to ensure product integrity.3. Enhancing safety, efficacy and quality of veterinary drugs for the targeted animal species.4. Establishing veterinary drug interactions and contraindications.5. Ensuring Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for veterinary drug production.6. Collecting existing data on the physiologic, pathologic and toxicologic properties for toxicity studies of drug products in the target animal.Education:• Master or Ph. D. degree in pharmaceutical sciences.Experience:• Minimum three years experience in veterinary medicine production/ formulation.• Knowledge of clinical work, toxicology, pharmaceuticals and manufacturing techniques.Language:- Fluency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is an added advatage.Competencies:- PC literate.- Organising, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail.
