Tunnel Manager

Area of Responsibility: to be responsible for key aspects of the tunnels construction and maintenance in Portugal 

Reporting to: Farm Manager

Location: Hall Hunter Portugal 

Contract: Permanent 

Start Date: 1st August 2016

Main Responsibilities

• Management of the whole tunnel process, including construction, dismantling, maintaining and movement of tunnels

• Specific fields planning and construction, including plant support system, mypex, etc. 

• Planning of the labour and machinery requirements

• Maintenance of tunnel workshop and storage areas

• Monitoring tunnel equipment stock levels

• Maintenance of tunnel tools

• Ventilation implementation and climate management 

• Development, maintenance and improvement of the generic tunnel construction procedures

Applicants: Must have an enthusiastic approach and possess a strong interest in learning and self-development, with a desire to fast track their career. Must have an average English level and be able to work both individually or in a team. Previous experience and skills are desirable and willingness to learn is essential. We are looking for an organised, responsible, flexible and motivated person with good communication skills.
