We are currently representing a leading fresh produce company in their search for an Agronomist to join one of the subisdidaires for a world leading fresh produce expert.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Agronomist with a strong background in Herbs to be based in Southern Region of Portugal working with a leading fresh produce company.
The ideal Agronomist will have previous experience of setting up new sites and facilities as well as a strong technical understanding of herb farming and processing.
Duties will include:
• Developing new sugar operations in the region.
• Managing a team of agronomists ensuring that all crop yields and quality targets are met.
• Training other farmers on the latest methodologies.
• Ensure a technical understanding of soil analysis and pesticides is met.
Requirements
• A Degree in Agriculture or similar will be looked on favourably.
• Knowledge of developing new herb operations will be highly advantageous.
• Portuguese speaking
